Working with Venger Satanis

I guess a good way to start the blog is to start posting some of the later stuff I worked on. Particularly work commissioned to Venger Satanis on his last 2 RPG modules: The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence and Revelry in Torth. I can safely say I enjoyed the hell out of working with Venger, not only because the imagery he wanted is awesome, but because I tried new styles and scenario options I hadn't considered before. For instance, my work with markers was close to zero when I dared submit my "Purpled" piece. Venger liked the style and thus I went on experimenting with it.

While my gaming party might not be ready to jump right into weird-gonzo RPG (for now) I have learned a lot from VS and his story-building abilities. There's an old saying in my country: "The devil knows more out of old age than out of being the devil". So yeah, years of experience teach you more than any manual can, but some tips from the pros are sure to come in handy.
So, being practical as I am, I learned what I could from both, and am slowly applying some mechanics into my gaming sessions. Eventually I hope my PCs will dare venture into the Islands or Torth.
So, to give a green light to this blog, here is my artwork from The Islands plus an unreleased drawing of a Huntress facing a demon grunt.

You are NOT prepared!
